Day 3 Leaking Windows!
We decided to leave Dover and go around to Ramsgate to give us a better start when the weather improves.
We had to ask the permission of Dover Port control to exit. Once out we quickly realised that in spite of the weather reports the gale conditions were still in evidence. Graham then discovered the both forward hatches were leaking and that his bedding was sodden. We immediatly returned to Dover.
Once we were tied up, I called Charlie Stuart of Houdini (www.houdini-marine.co.uk) and asked for two new hatches to be overnighted to me in Dover. I then went to the marina office to find someone to fit them.
When I returned the gin and tonics were at the ready and I can't remember what happened after that…. perhaps the G&T's were perfect!
