What are we doing?

Treguier

I was very excited to go to Treguier it is a beautiful medieval town and there is lot to see and do. The plan was to stay for two night and then go to Saint Quay where we would meet our friends from Bolero Nick and Maz and cruise in company back to the UK.

The best made plans… upon arrival we were in for a shock. We found out that Bolero has engine problems and they are stuck in Guernsey wondering how to get it fixed and the weather forecasts don't really work for us and we needed to make a new plan.

We had to make a change of plans and so it was we would have to go to Guernsey and then to Cherbourg. I had particularly wanted to go to Saint Quay but the weather made that impossible. If Bolero cannot come to us we can go to them and with Ian on board we might be able to get his engine fixed. So it was not all bad, just different and not what was planed.

Linda and Gwyn went into the town whilst Ian and I did some deep thinking. After our thoughts were consolidated we decided to explore the town and bumped in the ladies coming in the other direction. Soon we were all back in the town square having a nice drink on the pavement.

I had originally paid for two days mooring but as the forecast had changed it was important to leave and so in the morning I went straight to the office and asked if I could have a refund and without question it was given to me in cash. That was an unexpected surprise. It was a shame but we had to leave.
