Morgat
We were excited to have found Morgat it was a great find and I am sure we will be back. After a lazy start we lowered the dinghy and ventured ashore. The town is split into two halves as far as I can make out there is the port and it is surrounded by a huge beach and restaurants and about 40 minutes walk away is the town centre. We walked around the town an stopped at a popular restaurant with great views but it perhaps was not the best choice. It didn't matter we just found something we wanted and enjoyed the view.
I wanted to get local sim for the boat wifi but alas that meant a long walk both ways so we decided to leave it until we get to Quiberon.
The port was a lovely area, when we went into the harbour we could not find the harbour office so we took a chance and just left our dinghy were there were other dinghies and hoped for the best. The beach on the other hand was something else, the tide has ebbing and it just ket going out. If you were a family on that beach it is a double edge sword firstly is it safe because the water is so shallow you would have to walk out miles to get into deep water, on the other-hand you have to walk out miles to get to the sea. However when the tide turns I would imagine it comes in quite quickly but safely.
The night we sat in the cockpit and had a lovely meal as the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, it was a magical scene.
