Diamond Blue Wins Again

After a false start for Diamond Blue, our son having been taken to hospital the pervious day meant they had to travel from Guernsey to get to the start at St Helier. An early start was called for to reach the start but it is difficult to get their when you don't have a favourable tide. Never the less when Diamond Blue eventually started the fleet was half way to the Horizon.

Diamond Blue carries an over sized spinnaker and with favourable winds the decision was taken to hoist it once we had calculated the effect on our handicap. Within two hours Diamond Blue stealthy caught up and surpassed the rest of the fleet who had made the decisions not to fly their spinnakers.

Overall a brilliant day following a bad start.
