What are we doing?

Lesconil

We were the first boat to leave Port Louis and we had agreed to anchor at Lesconil, we had never been there before and it wasn't on our radar. We have hoped to go to St Marine but all three boats want to get back to the UK before Erin and so our holiday has started to change into a passage i.e. long legs and not really cruising. It was a disappointment to be so close and just carry on, but it is not all bad news as we are going to Roscoff tomorrow via Ushant and may stay an extra day.

It was an interesting journey we all sailed it and we were able to establish that Ti A Fi is the fastest boat in light winds and they have the strongest AIS signal… Sea Crusader has the worse signal, clearly the aerials need attention. I have a lot of jobs to do this winter and I am hoping that with JR around for 5 months he will be able to do much of the work with me. It isn't hard work but some jobs just need two people.

We were the first boat in and so got the best anchoring spot but honesty there was loads of space. We were so pleased to arrive we simply opened a beer and enjoyed some canapés. I wish in hindsight that we had launched the dinghy and one straight into the harbour; perhaps next time.

We all ate our meals on our own boat that evening and went to bed early as tomorrow was going to be a long sail for all concerned.
