Day 41 Exploring Helsinki
This was to be our last day in Helsinki and to be honest it was not enough time for this wonderful city.
We decided to go and visit the castellated island of Suomenlinna. We had enjoyed a BBQ the day before so were too slow getting moving in the morning and but the time we stopped at the market on the way to the ferry it didn't leave us much time.
We arrived on the island having caught a ferry from a different company than we planned so instead of starting at the top of the island we were dumped in the middle. Well as it happened once we started walking we realised we were right next to a restaurant and it was lunch time. After we finished the bottle of wine we had just enough time to walk to the end of the island and catch the ferry back in order to be back in time for the 5pm "skippers briefing".
