Day 23 Gotska Sandön
We arrived at Gotska Sandön in the middle of the night and we anchored off the south side of the island in its lee. As soon as it was light we had breakfast and then moved the boat to the northern side hunting for seals. We found them in a bay half way along chilling out on some rocks, sadly the whole area was cordoned off so we could not get very close, but I was able to get a great photo with my long lens.
Later we moved further along the coast and anchored with the other boats off the beach and Jane and I became the first of our group to swim in the Baltic. The sun has arrived and the weather is so much nicer, but not yet warm enough for Linda.
Tomorrow we have the choice of a long haul to Tallinn or breaking the journey about 2/3rd the way along to visit Kärdla on the island of Hiumma. The jury is out, it is nice to see more places but I am not sure if it is much more than a marina and Tallinn is a major capital with lots to see.
