Day 17 Bornholm
7am Alarm. TZTZTZ
Linda is arriving, PANIC. I have to clean the bathroom, hoover, find the new linen and change the bed.
I needed to go to the chandlery to get a new chart chip on an exchange and I also needed to get a nylon nut to stop the bow sprit self launching (everything works loose on a boat if it is not fixed).
7.10am Linda is at Gatwick and is on the plane and she is messaging me… panic, I am due to go on a bus tour at 10am.
10am I get the bus, everyone is asking about Linda. I explain that she has two tickets from Copenhagen to Bornholm because officially she can't make the connection to the earlier plane.
9.11am "Just landed", that was quick, apparently it landed early so now a dash for the connecting flight to Bornholm. Unfortunately she has to clear customs and then check in again, no direct transfers allowed.
10am, "I am on the plane", fantastic, it was a tiny plane with real propellers.
Meanwhile the coach tour took me first to the castle at Hammershus and then to a small port called Gudhjem on the north coast. After that we went to see a round church, there are quite a few churches of this design in Bornholm and no one is quite sure of the origin, but it is suggested that they were built by the Knights Templar.
2pm, back at the boat and Linda is waiting, hooray!
